All my life (well, since the age of eleven) I have made music on guitar, mandolin, banjo, kalimba; anything you can pluck or pick suits me fine! By the fifth form at school (age 14/15) I was spending lunchtimes in the woodworkshop making my very own electric guitar "just like Hank's" (Marvin, of course) and things just carried on that way. I could never find the cash to pay someone to work on my instruments and besides, when you do it yourself you know it's done right so I learned my trade with the most demanding and the most forgiving customer.
Ten years ago this March I gave up fooling about on the road and took up a position at the famous (ask him if you dont believe me) Johnny Roadhouse Music of Manchester, England as the in-house repair man where I was to rapidly broaden my experience with all manner of jobs from a dirty jack-socket through retrofitting a Charlie Christian pick-up to a 1930s Gibson L30 to making a replica of a custom guitar given only a few photos and the scale length.
Now here I am, out in the country with no hassles and no worries, ready to work for you in between picking out some tunes with my mates.
